Sorry for the consecutive and rather simple pre-flop questions.  I want to clear off the rust from my reasoning.

2$ turbo rebuy, winner takes $103, 9 places paid, 14 players are left here.  I have been rather quiet for a few rounds, open folding my last button despite being low stacked.  I had to show down A4o two orbits ago (stealing in position, though got a surrender call from 42o with his 5k stack) – nothing too terrible in my image.  A bit tight but I had been card dead recently and the A4o hand may have shown that I was doing what I could with what I had.

What makes me ask if this is such a huge mistake is that three people laughed immediately and one typed “donk.”  If this is too much of a gargabe hand, I'm glad this happened because if it's a leak it will be easy to fix.  Is K2 too much of a garbage hand to pick up chips here, as I do need them and still have fold equity on my steal?

I was surprised that it would be such an obvious mistake – thought it was at least marginal.  Better to shove other hands like 67s?  Is A2o good enough?

How is this a donk play? Sounds like you had idiots at your table… This is a turbo, you have less than 10bb, you have fold equity = easy shove. Off the top of my head…shoving any Ax, Kx, 22+ etc.

BTW, if you're having trouble with these spots would definitely recommend DannyN13's turbo videos. Also, ICMIZER is helpful if you want to go into more detail…

There's not too much to do here except JAM.  Obv it's a bad hand, but it's a nice move as logn as you jam.  Don't ever just open raise.  You have 8bbs.  It's not a “donk” play.  You have the btn and most likely are ahead of most of their hands.  Of course you can kinda wait for a better hand, but I think it's ok.  SB & BB are either calling all in's or folding..  “F” all the clown comments FOOLS make in the chat box.  Most are cowards who would never talk shit LIVE.  Computer Dbags.

Thank you for the responses.

Yeah, I did think I was playing according to standards set by videos like DannyN's turbo series, and did jam (I meant to say “shove” in the title). My one concern was that maybe I had forgotten something the pros like Danny had said about terrible kickers or something.  But it didn't quite make sense, so I am glad I asked and that you guys responded.

I have been away for a bit and tend to put too much weight into what certain opponents say.
