Call or Fold?

There are 18 players left in the tourney. Villain just got moved to the table maybe 3 or less hands ago. Considering all the dead money in the middle I think my hand warrants a call. I plan on playing the rest of the hand very cautiously. I call the flop to evaluate the turn. When I make the two pair on the turn I check to the raiser to continue with his bluff thought for sure he would continue with Ax and maybe 99-JJ trying to 2 barrell to take down the pot and any picked up flush draws KQcc, KTcc, QJcc ets def think all these hands are in his range given how deep he is . When he checks I think he has air a weak A. The river seems fairly harmless. I am betting for value on the river. I think the river raise could be a bluff, set, he might think he trapped me with AK, or maybe a straight 56 but I dont think that is in his range. The min-raise does look super strong. So considering my stack and where we are in the tourney would you guys call or fold?

I think the mistake here was flatting preflop OOP, as it puts you into a guessing game essentially.

i think your options are shove or fold. villain's raise sizing indicates that my might know what he is doing, and could mean a relatively wide range, so i am inclined to reshove here. how many people left in the tourney, and what is the average stack?

I don't really like the flat preflop here, for me it is either a shove or a fold – you don't have the stacksize to be defending. But having played it from your stack size I don't think you can ever fold once you've hit 2 pair. His river raise looks strong, especially given his sizing but I think you have to call here. I think you could also shove but he is representing 99 or 10J and unless he has misplayed his hand you are only getting called by better (except 78 or 79) so I just call. Hmm, calling leaves us with a horrible 8bb stack when we lose, on second thought I am getting it in there, double up or go home (close window).

There is only 18 left in the tourney and I dont know how what the average stacksize is. I have been trying to not be so aggressive pre to try to avoid high variance spots and spots where I am crushed so that was my thought process when I did flat here but def agree that flatting oop is a mistake. Fold or Shove pre.

I personally hate A7 suited or nonsuited. I would have folded the flop and at least shoved the turn.

1st: I dont think you should ever call there pf with the stacksizes with in general, especially oop. The only hands I might consider flatting is AA or KK. Either shove or fold.

2nd : If we call oop with 23 bb and we turn 2pair Im not folding, the river could have hit him, he might have a set, but I think hes bluffing enough in general to call here.

i also think with that stack this is a preflop decision, shove or fold

but to your question:

preflop: fold

river:never fold

Pre: fold or jam all day

Flop: if you call pre, you wanna be check/jammin this flop

Turn: Lead out and get it in

River: pretty gross situation, i don't see him checkin back AT+ or a set OTT and then raisin OTR, so i think he's gonna show you JT a fair amount of time to justify foldin here
