What is your thoughts on opening from the Button now in todays game ?

 

I for one get about 80%  3bet jammed by the sb or bb,  i know resteals 20bb etc are apart of any decebt players arsonal incl my own, but I am opening hands like kq, j9s, k10, 88, kjs etc etc on the button and i am folding more then often to 3bet jams coz of fold equity and dont wanni risk losing 1/2 to 3rd my stack etc.

 

so now i tent to play super tight on the btn and only open premuims there and steal from any other position which I've always done really, but I think playing to tight on the button is also a bad move as well.

 

I just think in todays game the blinds just 3bet jam you alot of the % of the time you open from the button, 

 

whats your thoughts on this guys ?

KQs has 62% equity against the top 80% of hands, so if the blinds really jam that much, you have a pretty easy raise-call. I know you were exaggerating when you threw that number out there, but it gets at a serious point: there's nothing the blidns can do to make it unprofitably for you to open certain hands on the button. Either they fold a lot, or they raise/call with hands worse than yours. They won't get hands stronger than KQs/A9o/66 etc often enough to jam and force you to fold.
