Is this a straight fold without antes in the pot ?
Yeah I'd fold. In this theory video, Panda walks through playing small pairs and he uses a rule of thumb of 20-1 for pot odds for playing a small pair like this OOP without antes. Looks like you have to put in 500 and effective stacks are 6700. You won't hit a set + stack him enough to make this profitable.
I think in general you are deep enough that I would 3bet him as a resteal. It is a BTN raise and I would expect the BB to fold a huge percentage of the time without a real hand here at these stakes as well as the BTN just giving up a lot here as well. But if you don't feel like being that aggressive or getting that crazy I can see a fold as being a very good alternative as well.
If he folded his last two steal opportunities, I'd probably fold especially without the antes its just 100 chips. With a 3bet you have to ask yourself are you really willing to go to bat with 5's vs a 4bet shove? Best case you're flipping and worst your crushed. I see it as an unnecessary risk that early.

so based on Panda's 18 or 20 – 1 rule, for him to call and profitably set mine hero needs to have around 12k in his stack because 600 x 20 = 12000? The 20-1 rule applys to the original raiser right? Is it 20-1 on his stack or 20-1 on his bet size? Ugh I need to watch his video again lol.
