the HEM series is a pretty decent place to start, as it tells you how to set up your hud for tourneys, and a bit of info about how to read your hud

I was thinking od doinga series on Holdem Manager, but more for leak plugging and less on in game use of  HUD.  In game there are a lot fo ways a HUD cna be used and no two people use it the same all the time.

There are two key facotrs in making the most of your HUD.

1.  Setting up an effective HUD

This just doesnt involve having good stats on the HUD but also involves minmizing the bad stats you will have on the HUD.  Clutter on a HUD can be overwhelming and makes finding the helpful values in a given situation harder.  it may also cause FPS or over analyzing a situation.

Having stats you use a lot and position correctly in your HUD is very helpful when multiabling, so learn your HUD well.

2. Knowing the important HUD values for the given spot.

The main stats used by most players are PFR, VPIP, 3BET, Fold to 3BET, agression(on all streets), CBet, Fold to CBEt, and a few others.  All of these are valuable and probably a good place to start, and knowing when to use the values seems fairly straight forward.

Some more values people use are Steal %(from CO/BTN/SB), donk bet flop, c/r flop, double barrell, 4 bet, fold to 4 bet, 4 bet range, and a few others.  These more advance stats are used less frequently but can be very make or break in key spots and help make more educated decisions.

But in the end, the more you play the more youll undertand the values of key spots.  I reccomend slowly adding stats, starting from the ones I listed as very useful, so you can adapt to your new HUD as you buid.  Going from 6 stats to 15 is going to be overwhelming and youll will notice yourself not using the new added stats effectively.

Let me know if you have any more specific questions.
