Sup Fellas, I got a quick question about BR management in the USA. (Bovada/ACR)  I started TPE University and re read the BR management article by RonFez, but it was written more geared towards PS/FT.  I finally got my money from FT and I had told my self If I ever did I would give poker another shot.  And of course without TPE I wouldn’t have gotten anything back at all since I never made any money playing poker until I joined TPE in 2011 and started crushing the OD Rush MTT’s on FT.  =( I miss Rush mtt’s.  Anyways,  My question is regarding this excerpt from RonFez’s Article.

With $1K, the medium risk players can now expand their BR to between $3 – $5 with no regular shots bigger than $20.  My primary games would be $2, $3, and $5 freezouts (FO).  I’d also try to find non-guarantees that keep the field sizes down.  I’d also be playing $2r and $3r as well.  I would still be mixing in some $4 and $11/180s, $7/45s and $6/90s to reduce variance.

I will be starting with a 1k roll and treat as my actual roll.  I could if needed redeposit if variance happens to bitch slap me, but I’d rather not invest any of my monthly recreation fun money on poker.  I think I would rather focus on Bovada atm, since from watching KB’s streams ive heard him say more than once that ACR is more geared towards $20+ mtts and is even worse than bovada for under that.  Bovada has a decent amount of $3-$10 mtt’s with some random $1 and $2.

So I guess my question is what would yall do in my situation given the information I gave?  1k roll, treated as absolute roll.   Not really any volume of SNG’s that I have seen, I get way to bored playing cash so that isn’t an option.  So just play every mtt FO less than $10 and only the best value $10’s?  SS’s?  $1r? $2r?   What about sundays/mad Monday?  Worth taking shots in the $10-$20?  what about sattys?  There are quite a few $1-$5 sattys, are those worth playing? Or should I just stick to the FO’s?  What about turbos?  No turbos over $5?  K I’ll shut up now and let yall answer my question.

Thank you for taking the time and as always, thank you for creating such an amazing site with the realist down to earth pros there are.

Mike
