This is bounty game on GG/PPI poker, 31.50$ buy in. In this format its half bounty but all of the bounty money is deposited into your account once you reach the money and then normal play resumes. So it makes bubble situations intense and interesting.

So here is the hand, it is on the bubble i have collected 105$ in bounties so if i reach the money i win that plus the min cash 19$.

There is a super short stack all in on the small blind who has been sitting out with 142 chips blinds are 1.6/3.2k, with a bounty of 45$.

I have about 10bb in the bb someone from ep min raises and 3 others flat and i flat with k2 with two hearts hoping to flop something and win the bounty.

Flop is Js ks 6 with two spades. everyone has you covered and they want your 105$ bounty. spr is 1/1 30k in pot 30k in stack roughly and a 45$ bounty all in with any two. but also keep in mind if you survive this hand you are likely to cash for 124$ as bubble will be over. If you bust 0$ and if you knock out sb + 45$.

what do you do?

If there is a possibility that opponents would not bluff into a pot multi-way and I can get to showdown, I would not lead jam. You can also call once bet without going all in. Since I have not played this type of tournament I don’t know what the tendency of the population is. I would also consider how wide the other players are hunting bounties if I have stats or notes on them. I think being cautious is the right play. You have $124 guaranteed with 9BB if you fold vs aggression vs the ($164 you can win and the additional chips)*chance you win + 0* the times you bust. I don’t know how to quantify the BB in $ amount but I think that would be the way to calculate mathematically. I am dont know what happens if you bust the shortstack and someone busts you? Do you also get $0 even though you are not the bubbe boy or is this situation not on the exact money bubble?

Edit: Just reread OP, I guess you’re saying in this format you don’t get the bounties if you don’t make the money? What happens to them then, they go back in prize pool?

yes you dont get the bounties if you dont make the money and the total bounty if you lose goes to the other player.

It is on the exact bubble and im not sure but i guess you would win the bounties if you bust on the bubble but are not the bubble boy.

This is all i can find from the website.

As soon as the tournament goes in-the-money, the total bounty prize that each in-the-money player had accumulated will be directly credited to the player’s account, and the tournament will then proceed in a typical Freezeout format. If a player is knocked out before reaching in-the-money, all of the bounty that he or she had collected will not be credited into the player’s account.

Thinking about it you would win the min cash but not the bounty. It would be unfair to the player who busts you thinking he is going to win your bounty.
