Tournament has just started and , we were pretty much even stacked on the table.

I wasn’t much worried about Dimka441’s range, especially because of the bet size.

Then bimcadista goes check-raise then Dimka441 tank-called.

I was considering re-jam or fold at this point, calling didn’t seem like a god choice. I used all my time bank and opted to fold.

Your thoughts?

I fold this pre flop, with no antes. even playing IP.

For the check raise OTF I fold, I guess is on the tight side, but playing for stacks with top pair 2nd kicker I am not a big fan of, 120bbs

I give BB a range of: 99-33, AJs, KcQc, KcJc, KcTc, QcTc, Kc9c, Qc9c, Jc9c, Tc9c, Kc8c, Jc8c, Tc8c, 9c8c, 9c7c, 8c7c, 8c6c, 7c6c, Ac5c, 7c5c, 6c5c, Ac3c, Ac2c, AJo, and against this range hero is actually 63.52% to win.

What is curious is what Dimka441´s range is, because he tank, i give him TT+, AJs, KJs, QJs, JTs, AcKc, AcQc, KcQc, AcTc, KcTc, QcTc, AJo, KJo, QJo, against this hero have 47.69% equity.

What I don´t know is this ranges combined lol, my computer is too weak for that crycrycry

Calling is a bit borderline pre-flop but I don’t hate it. You have to be confident in your post-flop abilities, though, and that’s where I see real weakness here.

I wasn’t much worried about Dimka441’s range, especially because of the bet size. “

I don’t see how you come to this conclusion or how/why Dimka shouldn’t have AJ, all overpairs, and probably sets in his range. That’s not to say I would fold to the flop bet, but when he’s betting all you have is a bluff-catcher, and he and his range are very relevant to the hand.

I was considering re-jam or fold at this point, calling didn’t seem like a god choice.”

I don’t see why you would take calling off the table. When you can only beat bluffs, your choice is generally between call/fold, not between raise/fold.

Right, because worse hands fold and better hands call/3bet, so it can’t be a raise for value.

If you’re going to call on the button with KJo, what types of flops are you going to get excited about? TPGK is the higher end of your range already. So if you do call pre, you have to know what to do if you flop top pair, which I believe happens about 25 percent of the time.

Of course this is one of the best flops for us, but that doesn’t mean we have to auto stack off for 10x the pot. The flop is only one source of information about your hand. You also need to consider your opponents’ actions, and here they are telling us to fold KJ (IMO).

Thank you guys.

The reason I wasn’t worried about Dimka’s betting was he was betting 50% pot all the time when  he had a decent hand. So I automatically assumed “Oh this guy doesn’t have very strong hand”, maybe this was my first mistake. The guy might be betting strong because it was 3 way pot? there could’ve been many other reasons.

Now I see the check/fold should’ve been my option instead of all-in/fold.

But if I call, what kind of turn would I like?

I thought I only need 25% to shove at this moment with all the dead money + 1 bounty. Bad choice?
