Hey Nation

Im not the best player going around, but i am trying to apply some learnings and on this hand i tried to bluff shove in a spot where i never usually would. Problem is in analysing the hand i am unsure if it is good or bad or somewhere in between. I think it is bad. Would love any comments. My plan on the river was to make him fold a Q or even a K. Perhaps optimistic in heads up here.

Villian was playing pretty solid. He had just shown me a bluff that i knew i should have called. I dont think i was tilting though, i felt good that i knew he was bluffing, despite not hitting the call button. Other history was that he was a 3-1 chip leader going into heads up and i had recently won a big hand to take the lead.

The problem is you don't rep anything with this move. You don't rep a K on this board because of your flop check and it doesn't make sense to raise a Q on the turn. It also doens't make sense to check the flop with JT and raise it on the turn. Think it's oke to check QQ,KK OTF but again raising turn doesn't make sense, because you have blockers for his calling range. So the only hand you could possibly have is 55 ( which is a cbet on the flop IMO) which are only 3 combo's.

Ya I don’t like x’ing flop. I think once you x flop you’re gonna have a hard time repping A or K. And I doubt you’re shoving over w a Q hand… I’m not sure what it looks like you have, other than the airball bluff hand you have.

With no equity and not much for blockers, this isn't a good bluffing candidate if you're trying to be remotely balanced about it. Exploitively, I'd advise against having a bluff-raising range on the turn at all. There's not much you can rep, and I think Villain's pot bet is pretty strong.

Yeah I tend to agree w what's already been said; I will add one good thing here, I think we could def play hands like K3, Q3, and to a lesser extent 53/33 (I'd probably be betting flop w these) so although we don't rep much, there are a few hands we could theoretically have. Still don't really like the play, but just my 2 cents…

Hey guys

Appreciate all the replies. Andrew you always reply to my posts and I am always grateful when a pro chips in. Thanks man, you are a legend!

Seems consensus is it was terrible and I can see that. The turn raise makes no sense and so when I shove river it is a tough sell.

For those who are interested he had a Q and called without thinking too long.

Live and learn. Need to rewatch Andrews bluffing vids again!
