Pre Flop: (t1290) Hero is CO with 7 of clubs 6 of hearts
5 folds, Hero raises to t1000, 2 folds, FallingHawk calls t500

Flop: (t2790) J of spades A of diamonds 7 of diamonds (2 players)
FallingHawk checks, Hero checks

Turn: (t2790) 8 of hearts (2 players)
FallingHawk checks, Hero checks

River: (t2790) 6 of clubs (2 players)
FallingHawk bets t1000, Hero ???

guess flop check is good. he has a lot of Ax,Jx he defends pre here.

Turn might be a bet to double barrel him off some Jx as he def would lead with an A here.

do you raise river over this small bet? what you do if he bets bigger around 1.8-2.2k?

cheers

Since he is on the BigBlind, his range is very wide. I think just to call on river is ok, if u 3bet and he 4bet you, itll be a tough spot for you. I think he easily could have here a better two pair. U have a good hand and a nice little pot. The only hand that pays off a small reraise on river is some sort of Ax… otherwise he gonna fold anyway.

So imo its not worth to risk a reraise here.

Calling any raise on river up to 2k i think

I like raising river because he bet so small and we have close to the top of our range when we check back flop and turn. We are not going to get 3b bluffed on this river unless he bets a J for value and then turns it into a 3b bluff. That's just going to happen. I would probably just call anything over 2/3 pot although it's pretty close.

I'd raise river smallish, I expect no one to raise the river as a bluff he might have an Ax or Jx type of hand that he'd bet for value and can not fold.

Personally I'd b-x-c with a 76 hand on this board, I'd rather check back Jx… as you might get some value of worse hands.. 7x makes a pretty bad blufcatcher imo (and that's why you check back with mid pairs)
