Easy bet.

He leads two streets then checks the river which shows he was leading with a pair or a combo draw. The 8s on the river does help some of his combo draws but the flush didnt get there and he is bound to have 9x he can easily call on the river. This makes it a bet.

I would probably size it a bit bigger pre (approx 1-1.1k) after a limp from EP. 500 chips is too easy of a call for a BB when he knows UTG is going to flat alot of the time.

You should also consider raising the flop as I would do this with some draws and possibly some air. You can definitely get more value here from weak leads.

If you aren't sure whether to value bet, ask yourself where your current hand falls in your range. If you could have called down with a lot of weaker hands (especially air hands like busted draws), then you can bet a wider range and balance with bluffs. If you are pretty much guaranteed to have showdown value given the line you took, then you need a stronger hand to bet for value because you won't have many bluffs to balance.

yeah andrew that's correct, my bluffing range would be really wide on the river once v checks id say it's probably a number 4 spot, we can make a modest bluff, even if you think it's a number 2 spot , it's stil worth a stab on the river , since it's unlikely we will be on the river without a decent/made hand and we only need v to fold 25% of the time for hero's bluff to be profitable.

when u look at this hand , it's really unlikely v will be checking a strong hand on the river , he would likely bet these for value , unless of course , he put's me on missed draw and he thinks there's enough air in my range that his best option would be to check to induce a bluff by me.

thoughts on that?
