Hey TPE nation,
Just thought I'd post the hand below to get your views if you coud be so kind to comment. UTG and MP have poven very loose and have been limping and flatting all sorts from any position. UTG also min bet every flop when he was first to act. As such the flats pre flop didn't really give me much of an idea of their hands but the flats on the flop to my big bet made me think they were both on draws. I thought this as if they had flopped two pair or a set they would have re-raised the flop. I shoved the turn thinking if any had KK pre they would have shipped pre flop and no draws had been completed. I didnt expect the smack in the face on the river or such weak hands at showdown. Any advice is huge guys and girls and its always much appreciated.
All the best Gav

lol that is about the worst hand i have ever seen. not from you, i think you played it fine, but wtf are those other two doing.
tbh i think you played it fine, you went for max value against 2 guys that you had pegged as fish, and you got it in as probably a 70% favourite against BOTH of them, cant do much better than that. if you get unlucky then meh load up another tourney
I think raising 6x to iso against a station is a good example of adjusting your game to the players around you, something that Daryl talks a lot about in his videos. If you know you're going to get action, I see no reason not to play your premiums fast and aggressively.
The only thing thing I would have done differently is that I would have bet around 550 on the flop as it sets up for a pot-sized shoved on the turn anyway. But all-in-all, you played it fine.
low stake donk landmines are very tough to dodge i feel your pain here. Not folding either other than the result i would say just back off a bit on your bet size pre, you made it 240 thats a bit much in that spot try 3x and add the limp to the total for 160 this will help in getting the desired action.

Bet sizing seems to be a common theme here. Maybe a smaller pre flop raise would have induced a squeeze. Looking at it I think my 6x raise even though I'm looking to iso the fish UTG looks super strong and polarises my range.
people dont squeeze in $2 tourneys. nor do you have to worry about the fact that you are polarising your range.
just play straightforward, even if that is exploitable, because noone picks up on it

not sure about that last bit – tbh i think i would bet as much as i thought the limper would call. if that was 400 i would still do it
with a bunch of randoms at 20/40 in a 2$ tourney its tough to say what to bet so i just use this as a rule of thumb, when we get super deep i definitely use your max extract thinking
