I’m on a mission to play the sunday million on ACR, but a $540 BI is far beyond my bankroll. I’ve been trying some of these 2 and 3 seat R/A turbo satellites as well as the 1 seat freebuys. Been very close in a couple 3 seaters but the freebuy 1 seaters feel like a huge waste of effort.

Should I just save my money and shoot for the 50 or 100 seat satellites this weekend? The buyins are $60-80. Or are my chances best with these smaller R/A turbos?

Any advice on how to satty into this thing?

If you’re avoiding the main event because of bankroll concerns, winning a satellite isn’t going to change that.

If you want to play it, play it, but don’t pretend that winning a satellite changes your situation bankroll-wise.

I’ve heard you make that point on the podcast, and I definitely see it.

But I’ve come so close! 4 satellite FTs in the last 2 days only to walk away with nothing. These turbo 2 and 3 seaters are brutal. 2+ hours of solid play always comes down to a flipping contest.

I’ve got to believe I can make it in the 100 seat satty.

That’s it I’m going back to my routine for now but come this weekend I’ve got to take one last shot.

Always appreciate your input Andrew. Thanks.cool

I normally play all the sats for the bigger tournaments I’m going to play when starting my sessions and have few tables, as I find them very profitable, and it helps me reduce variance.

Yesterday for example, I got 4 entries for the 100€ daily tournament, and as I play 10-100€ buy-ins I was practically freerolling my session, it was pretty nice. Obviously this is not the standard, but I normally get 1 or 2 seats which will cover half my session.

I have to say, that this is in the .es domain, with much smaller fields, where the cheaper satellites will have around 100-150 players, and the more expensive ones will have 20-40 players. Yesterday I late reg into a hyper sat (I didn’t notice it was hyper and started sooooo shallow), and found myself in the FT with 5 left and 2 entries.
