I find I can usually double up before the mid way point, but then seemed to be pressured by the blinds mid-late stages, and that is usually when I either make a bad play or just get sucked out by the bigger stacks.

Can you guys suggest some material I can read or even some videos? That help in these area’s.

I have watched all the videos in in both the mid and late stage TPE, but still seem to not to be making progress.

Thanks
Jamie

Ok, I have been working on my stratagy the last few days and have come up with something that seems to work fairly well in micro's.  I usually play regular speed, as I find turbo's and hypers a little too fast paced for me.  Would definately want to improve on those as well, but first things first.

Due to bankroll restrictions, I am forced to play .25 45man and 90man mtt's.

While the blinds are cheap, I am limping in everything, if I have 72o, I am in, I mean everything. I wait till I flop a monster, and double up even triple up.  Now while this is great news for me, it leaves a very bad table image.  So in stage two, I wait till I get premium hands, and play them aggressive.  If everyone folds, I flash the cards, because as Harrington says “it's not what people don't see, but what they do see, that they remember”.  So basically I reset my image, so when I raise, it means I got something.

I still have to work on my final table results, as I seem to chump out more then not.

I also found a big hole in my game, MY EGO!  I will be cbetting away, knowing full well, that the Villain has me beat, but I keep on truckin.  So I gotta tame that monster.

What do you guys think?

I know that when u show ur cards u want to establish an image. But i do that myself sometimes as well. But better players do not buy that. Ego isnt bad to have. It means imo u have learning climbs to make. Analyse whats there and transform it to skill. Thats a good process to have. Unlike robotplayers who play gto or somethin and are only in it for money and not the game. Or in other words dont really have their own game. Ego lets u have ur own game, however the taming of it comes in steps and not at once.

Not trying to be more then u are is one thing for a start. Dont be a muppet. Where u think u have the best and go allin because “oh no way he is better then me, oh he has me beat but i can still suckout, i go allin” kinda stuff.
