Hey Guy. So I’m reviewing my stats on a new name and could use some input on bb/100. Wondering what would be and ideal bb/100 overall. I have a super small sample 8,500 hands with a overall bb/100 of +2.27. (I realize this is SUPER SMALL and doesn’t paint an accurate picture.) Winning in all positions other than SB and BB. Curious to know other opinions how what an ideal range of bb/100 is over and by position. I’ve been doing some research on this online and I’m finding wildly varying opinions. Here’s a decent idea based on the database analyses I’ve done over the past few years:
Overall winrates
Crushing: >10bb/100
Solid winner: 7-10bb/100
Marginal winner: 3-7bb/100
Breakeven: 3bb/100 or under (negative ROI is still plausible here based on whether you’re good with ICM etc)
Losing: anything below zero
Positional winrates
These are good winrates to aim for based on what I’ve seen from solid winning players. Very few players meet all of these winrates – everyone has areas where they fall down.
SB: -15bb/100
BB: -40bb/100
EP: 10bb/100
MP: 15bb/100
CO: 20bb/100
BTN: 25bb/100b
A player with these winrates would have a 15bb/100 winrate overall. Hope this is useful!
