My thought process was that shoving with Q Q would be a +EV move since there was dead money in the pot, and I had a relatively agressive image. Should i be flatting preflop instead and see a flop with my queens? I feel like I played the hand really bad looking back, but I would like the input of some pros to see what they think. Don't hesitate to bash my play, I can take it. Remember, I'm posting this to learn from my mistake.

THe opener only has 17bbs or so.  Shoving is perfectly fine here since you don't want to give him room to fold on the flop.  You should be glad to get your money in here preflop.  Not deep enough for anything else really.

standard spot you played it perfectly

dont try to overanalyse things and play this hand differently b/c every other way to play it has a lower EV in the long run

yes you will save chips folding this flop this time

but the 22,44,55,66,77 and possibly TT and JJ that you will stack by jamming have a chance to fold post flop

not to mention the times you flat and see the flop and check fold to an inferior hand
