190$ live tourney, 20k startingstack, 30min levels, 3 day tourney

my image: i'd say tag, only played a few hands, 3b villain 1 level earlier, and raised his limp some orbits ago, he folded both times

villain (on the same table since start, directly on my right) solid tight, played straight up so far

situation:

level 4, blinds 100/200

villain ~19k

hero ~16k AspadeJspade

2 early pos limper, villain im mp limps, hero raises 1050, villain raises 2500, hero raises 7000,

villain tanks and asks if i show when he folds and makes a big show, counts his chips, stands up and finally goes all in , hero folds villain shows QspadeJclub

why 4b:

i know the light 4b was not necessary that early but i sensed weakness in his 3b cause he was the 3rd limper.  and online i would have called the all in most of the time when i had already invested more than 1/3 of my stack. cause against his range i'm flipping i guess, the only hands in his range that crush me are in my opinion JJ or AQ right? most of the times he has some medium pocket pair or broadwaycards i guess

final thoughts:

because of the good structure of the tourney and the weak players i should have just called the 2,5k and play the hand in pos, i was disgusted how i played it cause if i deceide to raise the 7k i have to follow through and call the allin.

what dyou think?

My first thought is that his 3bet is rubbish!

i like absolutely never give credit for someone overlimping like that then 3betting with the goods, ever. So that was a clearly good read on your behalf.

When you 4bet with that read you had, i think it's a mistake to fold to his jam.

Guess it woulda helped if you had a physical tell or read of some description to go with your instinct b/c if he really was TAG and your image was the same, then getting 80bbs all in pre probably isnt the most optimal line.

In retrospect flatting the 3bet in position, deep, against a weak field sounds like the best way to go.

Just trust your 1st instinct when you 4bet and go with it next time bada!

Lol at him overlimp 3 betting that early. I mean with antes deep after you have established an image etc it makes sense. But this guy is just some hero trying to satisfy himself by owning someone in a tournament. I would smile and instantly snap his 5bet jam in this case and send the clown home. To avoid all that i think just calling his 3 bet in position is optimal as you do not want to put yourself in those situations preante 4th level of a live tournament that you are one tabling. Just call in position this hand and from now on look to accumulate chips in smaller and more optimal ways early rather than playing a massive pot early without the nuts.
