I def think you should have c-bet the flop you probabbly would have taken the pot down right there something like 600. Since u didnt cbet I would have made your turn bet bigger aswell with the straight and flush draws out there u were starting to lose value and had to try to make your play for the pot. low stakes players will chase a draw and it will be hard to push them off of it.

You want to bet the flop here everytime, a lot of players may fold to your bet but you can get paid usually with the few that call.  I also did not like your bets on the turn and flop you gave the villian over 3 to 1 on both streets to call. With both a flush and straight draw out there you gave your opponent pretty good odds to chase. Most def. C-bet and then >=3/4 pot on turn will usually force the straight and flush draw out. IMO

Well that is just weird! I posted a reply and it is not here.  C-bet for sure on the flop, even if most opponents will fold you can get paid on people chasing a hand.  I would also increase your turn bet and/or river bet. You gave the villian over 3 to 1 odds on the call. This is good odds for someone chasing the possible straight and/or flush draws out there.  You want to protect your trips against these. Usually a bet of 3/4 pot or more on turn should chase these guys away.

C-bet because you're deep. If you started the hand shallow you can justify checking to let them catch up on the Turn and then get it in.

You probably get a fold when you c-bet but midpairs and some other stuff may float a street and then call a second bet if they pick up a pair by the river. Two streets value is all you can ever hope for with top set on a board this dry unless you absolutely cooler the person.

I think this sort of hand is a big leak which can be plugged and you will start to see some immediate results from it. Playing passive with big hands and letting opponents catch up is a dangerous thing as you have seen. WIth this hand if you check the flop and picks up the broadway draw I doubt he is going to fold to your turn bet. You have a big hand and it gets bigger on the flop. Build the pot, time to get max value for your hand. If he hit then he is going to call, if not he is going to get out of the way. The more you play games with letting them catch up and being trappy the worse things get. Play'em hard, play'em fast!
