Early in the micro millions event blinds 30/60 i have a stack of 4800.

I have no reads as only just joined this table 2 hands ago.

So UTG raises to 180, i am in middle pos with QQ and 3-bet to 410.

Folds round to bb who calls and so does the 1st raiser.

As i dont have any reads and the bb calls im thinking he must have a pretty strong hand 10's, J's most likely not Q's and AA, KK, AK. So im putting him on a premium hand. The UTG player im thinking maybe Ax or small pair.

Flop comes Jheart 3club 10club

Theres 1260 in the pot and its folded round to me and i bet 695. The bb calls and UTG folds. Now im thinking im 90% behind or he has AKclub.

Turn 8club

So now im done with the hand i cant see anything im beating unless he has a set then i can hit flush. So we both check the turn

River 5spade

And the bb leads out for 1705 into 2650 and i have to fold as i cant see anything im beating.

He said after he had QQ

Since you ch the turn for pot control I would snap the river…too many dump players at the micros for me to fold an overpair.

I dont think I would ch the turn, usualy I go for max value with overpairs, until I get resistence, then I reevaluate…

Did you have the Qclub?

Readless, in the early stages of a micros tourny I'm never folding here. You could have been flatted pre with ATC. If I'm beat then its a cooler, but more often than not I've got the best hand.

Yeah I think you’re giving the bb a pretty tight range, it is the micros after all. I would include AT AJ most PP suited broadway and some unsuited broadway, and some middling SC’s (preflop obv). I agree with kasspav, I’m never not betting the turn for value, if he raises then we can re evaluate, but I think there is too much missed value from hands like Jx or Tx with a single club (A,K,J)

As played I still agree with kasspav, if you’re checking the turn, you have to call the river. Your line now looks like AK no club or something like 99 or 77 and he may now be value betting his Jx and some Tx, or even bluffing with his own busted draws (AK one club, QT, KQ) Your hand is now very under repped and I think a call is mandatory.

I like flatting here pre flop with QQ. What are you trying to accomplish with your 3b to 410? If he has garbage then he is folding so you win a small pot… if he has a monster and 4b you then what are you going to do? Its very early in the tournament. Flat for pot control and play the hand in position against the original raiser. Easy game.
