So this spot is kind of confusing as to what the best play is. Preflop the hijack minraises and cutoff calls. Hijack stats are 27/30/0, but only over 10 hands. Cutoff stats: 45/36/29, but also over 10 hands so no significant reads. I reraise to 60K, because AT off is a hand I rather dont play out of position with. So I guess I should have made the raise at least bigger if I wanted to pick up the pot pre.

That being said, I find the flop a rather confusing situation where I get called by the cutoff on a QJ4 flop. Is this flop a standard c-bet or not?

We are with around 32 players left in a tournament of around 450 entries. I think I am a little above average with my stack at that moment.

What do you guys think how to play this spot optimally?

Cheers!

I dont 3bet ATo on this position, 1st the pre flop raiser is with 23.5bbs and he should not be calling, he will shove or fold ideally. Second, you will get action from better hands only, I think you are basically turning your hand into a bluff, unless you are planning to call off a shove pre flop.

OTF Qc, 4s, Js I wouldn´t cbet I guess, unless planing to barrel turn or river on some A or K cards, but that is not soo many card, probably not cbetting; I think this kind of flop hits V´s range too many times, from gutshots to sets, maybe not QQ tow.

And yeah, your sizing pre flop was too small if you want them to fold, but the 23.5bb makes it weird to do.

Yeah mostly this just isn’t a good 3-bet. You’re giving them too good of a price to get folds (and it’s hard to make better fold anyway), and the hand isn’t strong enough to raise for value. I’d probably call.

Definitely not a good flop to bet with this hand. Then again there won’t be that many good flops to bet with this hand, which is part of why you shouldn’t 3-bet it in the first place.

Thanks Almofadinhas and Foucalt for the replies.

Yes I agree, it is definitely not a great spot to 3-bet here with A10 off. My initial plan was to raise and fold to 4-bet jam, but if I want to 3-bet I should probably do that with a hand that plays better postflop in case I am called.

Yes, and/or one that you couldn’t profitably call with. When your choices are 3-bet or fold, 3-betting only has be >0 EV to be the best option. However, when you can make a +EV call, then 3-betting would have to be even higher EV than the call before it becomes the best play, and when the best you can hope for is folds, that isn’t generally the case.
