Looking at PokerDB they have a stat called average finish. What would be considered good/average/bad? Just trying to see where to start placing people. Just haven't had this stat explained to me well enough to get through my thick skull. Thanks in advance.
no idea what would be considered good/bad/average. I think it's a pretty skewed stat because good players focus on the top 3 and might have an average finish that is lower than their actual skill.
So to be honest – I wouldn't focus on this statistic.

nits who limp into min cashes would prolly have a higher average finish than most, but that doesn't make them any good.

yeah…pretty much ROI is the stat that counts. I dont even really pay much attention to ITM%. Mine used to be like 20% and i thought that was good then realized it was likely too high.
