400/800 100 ante.
Im in sb and have 80k i miniraise.
Bb with 40k calls.

953ss i lead out for 1700 into 4k. He raises to 4100. I dont really like to raise here because i dont know what to do if he shoves. So i call planning to check shove all turns where i get more outs.
Turn: 7
I check, he now bets 13k!
I checkshoved here but it felt bad since i dont really think he is going to fold when he bets that much. But i dont wanna check fold. Is maybe checkcalling ok? Or what do you do here?

id dont like the sizing BVB tbh. i make it more like 3x this deep

im fine with the raise call, but when we turn so much more equity we have 8 clean flush outs (assuming he isnt going nuts with A9s, but we can virtually discount it), and 6 more clean straight outs. pot is 12.2k and he bets 13k so like 33% is breakeven equity if we can realise it all, since this is live i think we can realise more of it.

his range is like 55/33/99/1010/77/64 and v that we have exactly 33% equity. so since he bets over pot we dont have immediate odds (just) and we have no fold equity.

if we call and fold when we miss still have 25bb. and i think we can pile all rivers we hit and gets hero calls from most of his range bvb.

so i think we get to realise all enough of our equity.

agree with the above. i think we can call here, just because you might still get hero calls if the flush comes in and he has a set, and you are getting paid pretty much always on a J and possibly even 6 rivers.

I agree with Duggs and Benny, including about the pre-flop raise size. Min-raising is a good exploitation against overly tight players, but that's not a common problem. This small raise makes it so easy for Villain to call and play against you in position, which especially in wide range v wide range spots like this is a huge advantage for him. Knowing nothing about this guy except that he's a Macau businessman, I'd expect that he'd be eager to peel a wide range, and you're making it very profitable for him to do that.

I like your flop call and turn plan, but I agree that you should re-evaluate when he makes such a strong bet.

i think its important to note that if he ever heros then its a +EV call because of the implied odds
