hey

reads – V has shoved a few times as a shorty.

against a 60% shoving range we have like 50% equity , we are getting like  1.2 to 1 on the call but actually rather close to 1.3 to 1 on the call so we need 43.5% equity to break even. I know this call is a bit marginal because if we lose our stack would be dented so it makes me wanna fold but this field is pretty tough so it makes it more of a call. Tbh if this was a soft field i’d still lean towards calling here. is this a mistake or is it okay?

cheers

No idea why it does not say the buy-in on the H/H. It’s a $22 buy-in.

Yes. This is a call unless villain is super tight. I wouldn’t worry so much about your stack being dented. Even if you lose, you’ll still have plenty of fold equity on the players at the table.

Yeah giving them 60% is tight and it’s still a call. I would give them 65% here most of the time if not slightly wider. It’s just really hard to be in awful shape in this spot. Mid stages of a tournament you just gotta click the call button and not worry about results.

yeah i agree that 60% is tight ,i was only saying 60% on the purpose of showing how important is to make these calls. Against a wider range of hands we would have even more equity, which is great! most opponents are shoving wider then 60% for sure 🙂 against a 72% shoving range, QTo has like 52.9% equity.

I’m pretty sure the optimal shoving range from sb is 72% right?
