I make a normal sized 3 bet instead of just jamming, I think … to try and induce worse hands to shove over it. Not folding AQs 6 handed on your stack, though. It's just a cooler spot. By jamming we're only getting a range of like TT+ and AK to call us. Maybe a couple smaller pairs but shouldn't be any worse unpaired hands.

Yup, I can't imagine getting away from AQ short handed against an opponent who has been active.  I think you can 3bet to 22-24K and call a jam, or shove…either way I dont think Im ever folding.

Sick run tho!

Jamming here is the best option, as you don't really want to call a shove with AQs. They might fold hands like 99/88 which they may shove if you 3bet.

Damn my backwards way of thinking.

Way I thought of it was … we 3 bet to like 22-25k and they have no fold equity if they jam mid pairs so they might decide to fold them out. We've invested almost 1/3 of our stack and look commited.

We jam and it looks like AK and AQ a ton. People probably figure stronger hands 3 bet because they want action instead of jamming because they want folds.

Bad line of thought by me?

I'd 3b to like 21k and call a jam….give him or someone else a chance to spaz out 4b worse

Didn't see this post until today.

This guy is aggro but he is UTG. This range is 26%:

22+,A2s+,K9s+,Q9s+,J8s+,T8s+,98s,87s,76s,65s,A7o+,KTo+,QTo+,JTo

Is he gonna be opening utg with a much wider range than this in a big mtt with 19 left? Let's say no. And even if u add a few more hands, its not gonna change the numbers that much.

AQs is still only 60/40 vs this range. This is a disgusting spot. Can't see how folding not much better than flip is a mistake or considered weak.

99 vs villains range is similar to AQs. Is this also never a fold?

Is it bec hero has like only 25bbs and u gotta take any edge u can?

If he had 40bbs, is folding ever an option here?
