Hey there,
This hand took place the other day on a live tourney.
It was three levels before the end of Day 1B, and the remaining players will join with 12 players classified from day 1A to try to get into prizes.
I was sitting in the BU with 8bb left and I was dealt AQo.
UTG+2 shoves stack of 15/17bb cant tell exactly. I dont have any information on this player since he just moved to the table.
Massive chip leader in MP flats after tanking a while. He is a solid player that plays the circuit and had some major cashes both live and online.
What would you do in my case? Overcall all in or fold it?
I will put the result and the holdings after some objective debate!
Thanks in advance for your opinions.

I usually fold in your spot, since it is very likely that at least one of them has you beat. The best you can hope for is to be in a coin flip with one of them and have the other one dominated, which could be marginally +EV to triple up, but I feel that very often at least one of them will have AK to make the call unprofitable.
With 8 bbs you have some fold equity. You are on the button, so you still have some time. I'd prefer to fold now and shove some wide range on another hand where you can be the first in.

A solid player faltting there should throw up red flags. I would wager he is fairly strong. I am folding.
If the faltter was a huge fish, I would be snap getting in, esepcailly if their is antes. 8bb 3 ways is 24. PLus 1BB, .5 BB for sb, and 1 BB for antes, we are looking at a 26.5 BB pot, so we dont need huge equity. And AQ plays decently 3 ways.
This is all just my intuition, I could easily run some numbers, but I am guessing UTG has range of AJs+, 88-QQ. Which we are looking fine against.

Thanks for your advice!
I made the same read yous did: Massive chip leader, a solid player that just flats a 15bb shove smells like pure strenght.
Unfortunatley, the guy was flatting pocket sixes, and the original shover got it in with QTs. A Q on the flop sealed the deal and I saw how my triple up opportunity was crushed. But of course, is easy to tell with monday's newspaper!
The play by the solid pro was strange, but succesful since a guy inmediatly after him confessed that he fold pocket nines. He represented a monster and worked out to flip with the guy.
