aacedro is TAGish
juanbomber is going towards LAGish. He has 3b me twice alrdy in late position.

I have been quite active the last few orbits. But I haven't 3bet that much.

When aacedro raises from CO I guess he has about 30%.

If I 3b preflop I have a feeling that he might shove a lot and I don't think raise/fold with AQo is the best option. That's why I call and try to keep his weaker hand in the pot.
Also if I just call maybe juanbomber will go all-in. I'll be ahead of his range 🙂

There is also the possibility of shoving but I feel I'll be missing the chance of picking up more chips.

What do you think of my conclusion to just call preflop?

On the flop I just check and let him take a shot at the pot. He bets 1000 into 3000 and then I didn't really know well what to do.
If I raise I get a call from sets and I believe all other aces. Maybe an occasional weird draw.
If I call then I don't want to just check the turn because he'll be getting very cheap cards on all streets.
If I call and then bet out on the turn then I feel he can go all-in and I still don't quite know where I stand.

So eventually I just raise small to define my hand as I either got it or not. I would call a shove or shove the turn myself.

I feel I played too passive in this hand. What are your thoughts on this?

3b pre, looks like an obvious resteal spot so exploit your perceived wider range. flatting pre is too passive and when we brick flops and c/f, we give up equity when he cbets hands we are ahead of. id rather win pots pre then dump chips into the middle, play oop, and allow them to barrell us off.

as played, with no metagame….c/c flop. hes gonna fold every hand but Ax if we c/r and since we block one, his range has alot of underpairs and broadway combos.

Im def 3betting pre.  You have AQ and both covered.  You get what you want, an A on the flop.  What shutEMdown is true.

I would chk/cl flop and see if he double barrels, if not then bet and win a nice pot.

This isn't a strong enough hand to be trapping pre. Just 3bet shove 22bb effective in what looks like a resteal spot. Like the others said, you're gonna get outplayed too much when you miss and the BB isn't coming along too often with no fold equity.

Thanks for the feedback guys.

I think I should've made it easier for myself and just push.

3 bet pre, and your plan isnt to 3b/fold, its to 3b/call, I may come back when I have more time and show you the math on just how tight he needs to be to make 3b/call unprofitable with AQ but spoiler alert, its probably massively tighter than you assume.

I dont mind flatting here is we are btn in order to try an induce(one becuase that means 2 people can squeeze, and two you are IP which makes everything easier), but from Sb it is optimistic at best.  I just 3 bet to 2.8k or so and be ready to click call.

As played the flop is actually pretty interesting, i keep changing my mind between clicking it back or just calling.  The problem that makes this board harder than others for me to be decisive on, is that the 2 and 5 are efectly blanks(outside of sets), so a call should signal just as well that you have an ace as a raise will, and I dont expect people to try to bluff you off an ace on turn too often.

If i call, I am probably donk leading turn to set upa  river shove(to prevent him from pot cnotroling all his worse Axs), if I am c/r I am  probably just gonna jam or bet big to get all his Ax in.  Its hard for me, without a better read, to decide between the two, I think you are basically choosing between two options that both only result in value from his Ax, as both lines should equally allow you to get some smallish value from a hand liek 3x/4x/33/44.
