Last hand from this tournament I'll be posting. I guess I have become a totally idiotic nit… can't believe I folded here, just want to confirm that this was ridiculously tight.

Poker Stars $25.00+$2.50 No Limit Hold'em Tournament – t700/t1400 Blinds + t175 – 9 players.

L New (CO): BB = 25.2, t35324
otavioMNY (BTN): BB = 18.8, t26277
jesse85james (SB): BB = 25.4, t35538
$$Iv%eR$$NLH (BB): BB = 13.5, t18859
lexthedog203 (UTG): BB = 24.9, t34918
mistasizzlak (UTG+1): BB = 23.8, t33265
CabecaCoro (UTG+2): BB = 8.5, t11880
Hero (MP1): BB = 45.0, t62992
Venoxero (MP2): BB = 36.3, t50778

Pre Flop: (t3675) Hero is MP1 with Q of diamonds A of spades
3 folds, Hero raises to t3038, 1 fold, L New raises to t7280, 2 folds, $$Iv%eR$$NLH raises to t18684 all in, 2 folds

Interestingly enough, when the CO 3bet me, I was thinking about folding for a while, because he has been folding every hand, except for one which was a 3bet for the last 25-30 hands. I think I made a decision to call anyways as he might turn over 99+, AJs+ or even fold, because I've been pretty active the last few orbits an dhe.

Thinking about it now I'd 99% call them both off, considering the fact, that the BB is very short. He was definitly tight  and had tanked a qhile before the 4bet-shoved allin, so I put him on, well 99+, AQ+. Still, for this prize we should call, right? Even with the initial 3bettor still to act?

Daeym, what a nitty fold. surprised embarassed

I think it's a fold, for me at least. It's probably a really close one though.

Basically, why do we want to risk 25BB in a spot where CO should not be 3 betting us light very often. If there was a dynamic, where you have been on a rampage stealing in this type of spot, then yes… he could 3 bet us light. But if that dynamic isn't present, then his raise has to be top of the range, as he's priced in to call a shove from 3 guys behind him.

Even though AQ is a strong hand, it's not usually going to be ahead of his 3bet/over shove range here. You even stated that the CO has been quite tight as of late.

We aren't in any kind of a chip crunch, and won't be in the near future. We are plenty deep, and have time to play some pokers before we get into 25BB flips(we hope) with AQo.

This coming from a guy who hates to fold.

think i'd need a pretty good sample on co to fold here; like if he's a huge nit over 100+ hands I could see folding, but his sizing seems good, so he probably has a clue and think theres a good chance he's folding here a decent bit. I mean its still pretty close w how short he is 3betting, but eh idk yeah its just a shitty spot I guess…
