It was still early, but I had quite a loose table w players calling lots of raises and opening a lot. So here a player in mp limped and i made it 4x and got three callers + the limper. Flop comes ace high w a fd, i cbet and got one caller in sb. Turn completed the flush and i instachecked behind and on the river villain instabet 3/5 pot.
With 5 players having been in the pot, the probability that someone was on a fd is quite high. So how often should I be calling/folding in this spot?

think i would call because you checked the turn and he may be taking a stab thinking you gave up after cbetting. If your wrong and lose youll be down to 2750 = 92bb no big deal
Why didnt you fire on the turn? you improved to a flush draw and i think you get value from a lot of Ax hands or 9 and x of diamonds. These tourneys are full of passive fish this early, I would just value bet value bet value bet.
I thought the probability that someone had a flush was pretty high and I didnt want to bet fold to a shove and take the free card to make the flush myself or crycall a river bet. If i were hu i'd prolly bet the turn aswell, but pot control seemed best to me att. If i bet and had to fold to a reshove that would cost me the same amount of chips than checking the turn and calling a riverbet possibly picking up on a bluff.
hu preflop, but starting from a 5way pot pre… hmm, yeah maybe it doesnt really matter we started w 5 players pre. 5 pre or hu pre shouldnt change villains range that much. as the only caller on the flop he def could have an ace w a weaker kicker.
think i need to work on being more consistent in playing my hands, cuz I've played simular hands before cbetting the turn when the flush draw completed and got value from weaker aces or re-outdrawing to a bigger flush.
by checking the turn i might also get more value from a 9 or some midpairs w backdoor draws or 10-QQ who played their hand passively.
so how much should i double barrel here or check turn for pot control/deception?
