Hello Everyone,

I found myself in this position last night and was wondering if this is a jam, or a min raise.  I elected to shove due to the fact the blinds were going up in 1 minute.  I personally feel that it was the right play, but at the same time don't want to be spewing chips either.   Any insight or suggestions would be great.

Yeah this is a really spewy push pre-ante and probably suboptimal post-ante as well. I would just open/evaluate.

We should open here.  When our jam gets called we are going to be in bad shape often.  When everyone folds we only get 300 chips. Neither of which is a great results.

By opening to 425, we are setting the opportunity for many different profitable results to occur.

Thanks guy for the input…not going to lie…was late and after evaluating again, probably not the most optimal play especially in the pre ante stages of the tourney.  I appreciate all of the quick responses.  Best of Luck at the tables!

i'm opening as small as possible (min) and evaluating the action.. if you've been min opening lots your range is wide enough to get action from plenty worse

I would go with standard raise here, but not a shove with that many players left to act.
