seems 100% standard to me. bvb, AK with ~40bb deep would be hard not to get all the chips in pre. Plus that guy is a reg and is putting you on a super wide range here that you fold ~85% to his raise. Just unlucky that he had a decent hand that held. This is like fist pump joy situation when he jams on you.
im happy with how i played the hand and im not looking for a review on the results more or less comments on my 3 bet sizing his 4 bet ect. i feel his 4 bet was pretty bad your thoughts please. and how bad is flatting ak here ? oop does anyone flat here if so how bad is flatting here im not a fan of it but i could be dead wrong , we were 15 left i was alittle disappionted in the outcome i wont lie i feel if i flat here he never see thes the river.

I think your 3 bet is too big. Seems comitting and you don’t leave an illusion of much fold equity.
I really don’t like flatting here. You give him a chance to get away on the flop with too many hands that you straight out dominate that he might call with here like AQ.
I think his 4b isn’t that good because of the sizing of your 3b, your basically saying your never folding and 66 isn’t fairing too well in that case. But if it was me I prob 3b to like 7k to give him the illusion of fold equity, that way you get him to shove a wider range because it is much more likely that you will be 3b/f.
ty for the input my thoughts on my 3 bet sizing was this i uaslly 3 bet abit more when im oop is this wrong ,right ? i might have to adjust this but ya it was a dream spot when he 4 bet jammed me nodoubt and i do agree i def dont like a flat here. and ive had a few others say my 3 bet sizing was alittle big the feed back i need to hear ty for the input .

I’d like to know why his 4-bet is bet? The raise size seems fine to me b/c if he 4-bets to 25k or more that is 1/3 of his stack and he should just put it in anyway. Plus, our hero could make this 3-bet light b/c he knows where the open raise is coming from. Right?
If I am in the SB, as our hero is here, I am 3-betting light b/c his open range could be real wide. Imo I would 3-bet to 7k but once again I would be doing this wider than usual b/c of the person’s position, if he is reg he knows he can open quite wide on the button, and if he does flat call I am OOP and am the aggressor going to the pot.
i used to 3bet way too big when OOP, but if you want to be able to 3bet more often then it’s way better to go smaller, even when OOP.
and this is such a wet dream spot, too. stacks are perfect for a light 4bet, and approaching the FT bubble a lot of regulars are way more prone to jam on you light, so make it a little smaller and try and induce a shove from a wider range.
with this size, i don’t really expect him to jam that light. although 66 is a bit light, it plays pretty well against your calling range and if you’re an unknown to him then he might think that you’re 3betting without a plan and might fold considering that we’re basically on the FT bubble.
just ul really.

I’m not saying its bad, but it isn’t good because hero is 3b’ing 1/4 his stack, so should never be 3b/f. So if hero is 3b’ing like 77+,AJ+, maybe KQs intending to call a shove 66 isn’t looking so hot. But this all obv depends on reads, table dynamics and yours and villain’s image too.
This could be a good spot to 3b light because it is just a btn open but btn will know this too so you will get 4b light some of the time too. All read dependant tho, which OP didn’t post, but as played this hand is pretty standard, just UL.
