This is last night in the Merge $44 $3500 guaranteed, heads up for the win. This tournament is one of my favorites on the site! We had been heads up for about 20 mins now, playing back an forth, no shoves a few 3bet folds on each side..i slowly took lead on him and then this hand. I really put him on a combo draw. Not sure if would change anything. Let me know what u guys think. Keep in mind we raised button almost everytime with the occassional folds on each side of the absolute trash hands. My read was that he really turned a combo draw, and i trusted my gut. Usually more times then not I feel like im ahead here, and my gut is good. Oh well, I cant complain, as I played very well. Can't win em all! Rivermen123 and I were nearly side by side the whole way. fun stuff! Would love to hear any other ideas on the hand.

Whats up Olespaul…great run.  After looking at the hand and the way played, one of the things I recomend is c/r bigger on flop.  I would of probably c/r like a full 3x here pretty much indicating you aren't folding on the turn.  By doing this you are really putting him to a decision with his draws.  He will have to fold or imo 4 bet shove on the flop.  There are so many turn cards you don't want to see and my clicking it back on the flop he is going to peel knowing with the implied odds if he hits that 5 you are never putting him on his hand.

With the way played, when he raises all in on turn I can somehow find a fold here when we sit back and ask what we are beating now especially on such a dry flop.  Now when I was reading the hand history I covered the bottom not to see and when I turned it over I never put him on that hand.  It was a bit ul on the turn and you probably couldn't get away from it.  I think that when you do click it back on the flop he will 4 bet you to get in his bigger hands such as 2 pair, tptk, sets.  The only thing we beat on the turn is a semi bluff.  That is my opinion and would love to hear what others say.  Look forward to seeing you on the tables.

I'm almost always 3b'ing pf, for starters. I think a lot of people just flat way too much OOP heads-up and either bleed by check/folding or they make postflop errors.

Anyways, I c/r a lot bigger on the flop because we're OOP and then I go from there.

But, I think a 3b preflop is optimal.

I also like 3bet pre. Mixing in 3bets to button raises is essential and this is a perfect hand to do it.

I agree with the 3-bet, I like to be very agressive heads-up and mix up my bets as well.  You put pressure on him post,  majority of the time your queens are good. I would have c/r more post.  However, if he called my larger c/r, I would probably go for pot control on turn and river. Both the turn and river are horrid cards for the draw, but the ace is the worst since most players play Ax heads-up. If he reraised my c/r I would probably break something. This is the type of hand that gets me into trouble headsup, I either lose all my chips or I fold and they show junk. Congrats on the score either way!
