I will need to explain some of my reasoning in this hand, but welcome comments on any area of my play. I should also say that I posted a hand here recently where I folded JJ pre and consensus was that I should have called, which I agree with.

I don't have many solid reads at the table as I was only moved to it recently but Indiana was 18/13 for about 30 hands. There were a few shorter stacks at the table and so when Indiana raised I flatted pre hoping to induce a squeeze. No-one went for it though so we were heads up to the flop.
Having under-represented my hand pre-flop I was happy to get it in here so I 3bet and was going to call a 4bet shove. But he min 4bet me which set off alarm bells and to me looked like a monster. So this is where I am unsure with my thinking because I basically then put him on KK, AA or a set. I thought that with A8, 99 10 10 type hands he would either flat or make a bigger raise. A flush draw would be too, and even a bluff would surely make a bigger bet here. I know that if I flat then I will have to call the turn and river so to play on it will be for all my chips.
So is this an easy decision to get it all in? Am I being way too nitty by folding? Also is flatting as a trap pre a bad idea here?
If he donk leads into you like that I would just call to let him donk lead future streets and get value and have a chance to evaluate his bet sizing. Your raise on the flop makes weaker hands fold and stronger hands go for value. Fold to his 4bet on the flop. Looks like a set since u do not have any reads.
I would flat flop this deep. You didn’t three bet pre so you really can’t put him on a range and have to basically evaluate each street to figure how to determine to get value from your hand here. IMO you turned QQ to a bluff if you are scared when he 4 bets. Since you have position flatting flop then seeing turn and evaluating turn would be my line here.

the problem is, there are some hands that do this that you beat or are flipping with, like 78hh or something, so by raising you let villain bet/3bet all of these hands too. i agree with the above posts that flatting for both pot control and re-evaluation on the turn is the right move
