Full Tilt Poker The Raptor No Limit Hold'em Tournament – t150/t300 Blinds + t25 – 9 players
TournamentPokerEdge.com Hand History Converter

UTG+1: BB = 11.8, t3530
UTG+2: BB = 10.5, t3145
MP1: BB = 85.2, t25573
MP2: BB = 22.7, t6811
CO: BB = 6.7, t2005
BTN: BB = 6.0, t1803
SB: BB = 93.4, t28018
Hero 86 (BB): BB = 38.5, t11546
UTG: BB = 11.1, t3325

Pre Flop: (t675) Hero 86 is BB with K of spades A of diamonds
1 fold, UTG+1 raises to t3505 all in, 5 folds, SB raises to t27993 all in, Hero 86 requests TIME, Hero 86 calls t11221 all in

Flop: (t26772) 6 of hearts 8 of clubs 5 of hearts (3 players – 3 are all in)

Turn: (t26772) Q of diamonds (3 players – 3 are all in)

River: (t26772) 8 of hearts (3 players – 3 are all in)

I'm about 100th (down from 70th due to lack of any hands to open with for last 15 minutes) out of 700 remaining – as soon as UTG+1 shoves I'm usually calling here as I figure my hand is ahead of his range, and getting the odds to call the coin-flip parts of his range. Then SB who has just sat down at the table shoves all-in and has me covered, I'm thinking of folding but I figure the times I call here and win I have a good chance to get into the decent money spots so I call.

This is similar to the other recent post on AK preflop, I do think I could fold here and still build a decent stack but I figure his overshove means his range is A10+, 88+. What hands would you overshove from the SB? Personally if I have a decent holding I prefer to call and see the flop, but perhaps this lays me open to a reshove from the BB (i.e. my position here)?

UTG range can be really wide. also the SB shove since he has only 1 player to go through doenst have to mean he has a big hand i mean if he reshove utg +2 id give him way more credit.

first of all do you have any history on him vpip etc because we have to assign him a range.

you should ask yourself what hands do I reshove when im in his position. positional wise he might fold 2s and 3s but i think a likely range for him is to have any pair+ A9s+  and KQ+ also because if he reships there you prolly fold AQ and AJ. and if he reshoves ur calling range hasd to be so tight.

so if you plot AK vs that range:

in een Nash state pushed UTG daar any pp, Ax + K9+ Q9s+

SB reshove 77+ A10s+

BB overcall 99+ AKs, AKo

but i think due to his large stack hell reshove wider i think a representiative reshove range willbe

any PP, A9s+ Kj+ Qjs + also incorperating the fact ull prolly only overcall with a monster.

since the utg pusher has only 10bb his stack  is indifferent almost for the pot. i plotted only the SB range:

    equity     win     tie           pots won     pots tied
Hand 0:     58.367%      55.15%     03.22%          169972274       9924862.00   { AsKc }
Hand 1:     41.633%      38.41%     03.22%          118392722       9924862.00   { 22+, A9s+, KTs+, QTs+, JTs, A9o+, KJo+, QJo }

since we've like 60% equity vs this range we can at least conclude we'll make a profitable call with AK. but stove doenst incorprate the value of tourney life. we have 39BBs which is really healthy.AQ is def a fold for me and id call 1010+

AK is interesting i like to hear what more experienced tourney players have to say
