Please dont post the result with the hand…it may change peoples opinion on how to play the hand. When this guy donks over bet jam into us I just dont think its that strong….a set, two pair or an over pair I believe check raises. I put him on a draw 90% and 10% a weak pair. I would have gotten my chips in as well.. As we all know you made the correct call and he sucked out.

I think this is a really important concept to think about and understand when playing in tourneys. Being able to look at the board texture and then interpret where you think these types of players are is a really great way to chip up in huge increments, especially with a TAG style. The donk lead/giant overbet jam is so often a sign of weakness and poor play that it can be highly profitable to call as long as you have connected strongly with the flop. You don't want to get wild calling these moves off with air (or the ole' Timbey Sauce 🙂 ) as you are going to get slapped for your effort, but as long as you connect this is a great chip up methodology.
As played, this is the exact situation you are looking for, some guy who has hit TP/weak kicker who can't get away from his hand. Oh well he sucked out, reload another and try try again.
