Hey.
I’m new to TPE and been having trouble’s converting my H/H so sorry for the format.
In this hand I don’t have any reads on either opponent.
I am unsure if i should call/fold on the river …..considering that they called from the blinds , i’d say there range is pretty wide. I’m not sure if they’ve got bluffs in their range here though…

i would strongly consider 3betting this preflop, given how deep stacked you are, and how many people are left to act preflop. this can get somewhat tricky if you might see a 3-4 way flop with this hand (like it did right here). im not saying its mandatory, but it has many advantages to flatting, especially when you and your opponents are not relatively short stacked.
after the blind checks, and the original raiser checks, i would DEFINITELY bet this flop in position when checked to. this will help make your life easier in that: 1)you could win the pot here, and 2)you get a better idea of villains' holdings.
Astrogirl prob has quite a few pair plus straight draw hands in her range, not to mention a few two pairs that have us beat. readless, since she bet 6k (40% pot) on turn and 20.25k (75%) on river, i think you just have to fold river. i am not strongly confident that we are good, nor am i 100% sure we are always beat—this is largely because of how we played pre and on the flop.
your river decision is tough, but in short i think your preflop decision and postflop decisions were the key points of analysis in this hand.

Ty Darwin, Much apperciated.
The reason why I never 3-bet pre is because if we face a 4-bet , hero will likely have to fold to a 4-bet shove here, so since i'm not comfortable getting stacks in i think flatting is okay, or would u disagree with this? we are around 40bb effective against hte UTG raiser, so i guess calling a 4-bet shove wont be that bad since we'll be getting good odds to call the 4-bet shove also we do block strong hands liike AA/KK.
The only problem with flatting like u said is that our hand can end up being played in a multiway pot a lot of other players may come along for the ride, also we face a squeeze.
so i guess 3-bet small pre is okay?
as for post flop , the reason why i checked was because if we face a raise , we're gunna be put in a tough spot , although we do have TPTK , the board is really cordinated and there's a lot of hands that could beat us , so i was trying to pot control and my plan was to bet turn and and re-evauluate on the river.
say for instance we did bet on the flop and then we faced a check raise from the intial raiser, im going to assume that you're going to fold or call the c/r and re-evaluate on the turn. so i cant see why checking flop is bad?

in any situation in poker, there are going to be “if's” for each decision you make, and some “if's” just outweigh the others.
both the if's you stated are strictly speaking correct. if you 3bet and wind up facing a 4bet pre, you are pretty deep stacked and might not want to go all in pre with AKs. if you bet the flop and get raised, you are in a tough spot of what to do with your hand.
part of getting better at poker will be knowing which “if's” are worth worrying about, and which aren't. for example, you're probably exaggerating how often you actually GET 4bet when you 3bet, and how often you actually GET raised when you bet flop. yes, they are unappealing scenarios, but in general, 3betting pre and betting the flop can and will lead to more good outcomes than bad.
cliffs: i think flatting AKs has some merits, although i prefer 3betting preflop. postflop, i think betting the flop (and probably folding to a potential check/raise) is a no-brainer.

Last post from Darvin sums it all in my opinion. With a couple of limpers I would have raised pre.
Also, I dont get why you guys are scared to be reraised with AK??I mean thats definitely his concern, but Darwin you sounded like you would not get it in either. Just wanna make sure what you would do if you were 3bet in this spot.
I believe AK should never be underestimated as the only hand that dominates it is AA.
I dont know the table dynamics and player tendencies here but I really need to be convinced to fold my AK. So I think 3 bet pre is the best way to play this hand
