Villain is brand new to the table and his smallish iso looks pretty strong, say TT+,AQ+. Part of me feels raising here is a bit of a spew since his range is so strong and I think I raised FAAAARRRR too much. If you were going to 3bet pre here how much would you raise to? Is flatting a better option? On the flop should I be cbetting 100% of the time? I guess my cbet was to get hands like AK and AQ to fold, because the rest of his range definitely gets it in here. I really feel I completely spewed here and I feel there has to be a better way to play it.

I think raising this big preflop is turning your hand range face up and your range is really bad against this flop – even if you do have an overpair his 3 bet call range can hit this pretty hard.
I might 3 bet smaller hoping to induce a 4 bet and then jam over the top of that.
Plus even if called you are now keeping the pot smaller out of position. Even if you are called and hit your A or K it's not all that likely he will continue on unless you've coolered him so that's why I like the small 3 bet hoping to induce …
I definitely think your raise was way to big….reason being is you cbet is going to be a significant portion of your stack. I feel like your cbet of same size as preflop raise is a definite tell of weakness (says I am good enough to cbet but I am protecting my large stack).
IMO….I think it is better to flat here and play post flop in position. When flop comes out dry there you can make a small stab at it and if you get played back on u can shut it down….u have plenty of chips left.
If you insist on raising I think 7900 is a good bet size that looks strong pre and allows for a cheaper and stronger cbet with a little less than half pot.
i think ur pre flop action varies on villian type as a flat or a raise would not be the wrong play here. i think ur play is very STD and u playd it nearly perfect. i also agree that raise was indeed to large. when raising here lets make it around 8200-9000. i think in between those amounts should get us the desired info that will allow us to play optimally post flop. i dont necessarily like the thought of making the 3bet smaller to induce 4bet so we can jam because all we have at this point is ace high and that would be spewy to play for stacks with 60bb…. if we elect to 3bet pre then we have to keep the lead and lead out on the flop with cbet. i think ur 3bet size was ur biggest spew which resulted into a bad cbet.
