This was a €1650 live event. 54 places paid. 20 players left.

We play 7 handed and i am in 4th place with 530k chips. Average is 320k. Opponents are all Italians (very loose and most of them bad, it's like a $3 mtt online smile)

Blinds are 8k/16k-2k

UTG who has around the same stack that i do opens to 42k, I 3-bet on the button with AhKx to 95k, he calls. I think he calls with pairs, AK, AQ maybe some suited broadways or suited connectors. I think the probability  that he has monsters is tiny.

Flop is Tx3h2h.

He checks. What should i do?

What about PF? Do you think a flat is a better option?

I'll almost always 3bet here esp if villain is lagg

Pot is 228k if im right and we both have around 435k each making a cbet around 120kish, leaving us with 315k or 20BB's

Problems: if he c/r us we have to fold, if he c/c us we pretty much have to shut down turn if we miss (we do have a backdoor f draw though)

tbh though

if this was a $3 online MTT i'd probably cbet smallish in the realm of 90k and fold to any action.

Players at these limits are rarely going to play back at us with air and will a lot of times check fold pairs 44-99 and dont forget we could also have the best hand right now

Like hapetimes said I woul make a cbet here most times. Not too big especially live. Take a stab and give up if played back at.

i think you can bet-fold as soon as possible, but slightly higher than the 3bet. something like 101k or 98k would be the way to go.

On the flop i bet 110k and he announced a  c/r to 160k 🙂

I think ihe thought making it to 260k. The dealer corrected his raise to 220k.

I was very active in this tournament and I sensed that players were talking about me in the breaks (Italians are a very talkative nation). The whole tournament was also in direct streaming on the net. Everbody knew that I am LAG.

So I thought that he has a pair most of the time and is scared that I hit my “mostly air” on the turn. 55-TT most likely. Maybe JJ and less likely 22, 33 or 44.

I called with the intention of calling the turn AI, if a heart falls or the A or the K.

What are your thoughts?

Think it's pretty obv villain was willing to commit himself putting 95k pre and a c/r of 260k postflop repping about 60% of his stack. If you fold on the flop you're still left w an ave stack.

Guess you either 3bet jam flop repping a monster pair or let it go cuz if you call his c/r you're in for half your stack and wont get credit for a real hand w a fd on the flop.

You're getting over 5-1 on a call to turn an A/K or one of the hearts to bluff at/pick up the backdoor flush. So this would give you the right odds to call. It's up to you if you think villain would c/f if a heart did turn having comitted over half his stack already. Was his c/r meant as a bluff or for value wanting you to commit more chips? Could villain be semibluffing himself w suited broadway cards and have you drawing thinner than you thought? Villain could also have flopped a set and have you drawing to just backdoor straights or running hearts.

So I'd prolly fold on the flop.

Now, you did call his c/r. I guess if villain would check the turn to you you should prolly shove any turn trying to get him off his hand, because if a heart came he would be scared of the flush and if a heart didnt come he could've missed his semibluff and slowed down or be scared his babypair isnt good.

If one of the backdoor straightcards would turn such as the 4,5, J or Q you should prolly jam aswell if villain checks or would you take the free card and give up on the river if villain checks again?

I think when you called his raise on the flop you should just go with it either jamming the flop or intending to jam the turn unless villain jams the turn first.

I believe you've put yourself in such an awkward spot putting in 60% of your stack in w the possibility that your gonna fold the turn leaving yourself less than 15bb. Not the end but you're gonna be going from a decent/average stack to a shortstack w/o SD.

Would like to see what others have to say about the hand.
