So i was playing a pokerstars $30 fifty fifty 10 player…im in the hijack with AKo blinds are $15 $30 so pretty early
utg+1 raises to $80 mp raises to $210 i raise in the hijack to $430 utg+1 folds mp is all in…I call…mp turns over QQ
Can i ask what the standard play is here with AKo…should I have folded ?
Thanks

Personally, this deep I prefer a flat. You have position and a strong hand. While a 5-bet is pretty rare, when it happens you're usually against a very strong range yet you may feel piced in to a call. Even against a range of {JJ+, AKs, AKo} you have 40% equity so it seems like folding to a shove would be a mistake. I would rather 4 bet a hand like A3s where I have a much easier time folding to a shove.

I could even see folding the first time around with this much action in front of you in EP. You can't be much of a favorite preflop, UTG1 might reraise if you call, and even if you hit an A or K you still have to play defensively and can't count on much implied odds (no one is playing a big pot with QQ and an A on the flop unless there's also a Q on the flop).
