Oooooooooh, this is pretty bad I'm afraid.  You played AK, and got the flop you were looking for, as you hit top pair.  Obviously there are much worse flops for that hand!     If you play AK and hit top pair, you have to be happy though.  After the flop, you have approximately 2000, and there is 1000 in the middle.  You have to learn that here, you are not deep stacked, and this makes a big difference.  If there was say 10,000 in each of your stacks, then you can be more cautious with your hand….maybe.  But if you only have two times the amount of the pot, AND you hit top paiir top kicker, then in my opinion you just have to decide on the flop that regardless of what happens on the next two cards, you are not folding unless an intruder comes into your house, puts a shotgun to your head, and forces you to hit the fold button.  Even then I would do it reluctantly.  Also, another factor is that the bet is only 400, so you can at least just call.  But I am shoving the turn because with these stacks,  I am just playing this flop to get max money in, no matter what.  Good luck bj!

Ya I'm not folding here…..I might just jam flop as we have about 2k left and there is 1200 in the pot.  I think it looks more bluffy then a small raise with our stack and we can probably get called lighter.

how i see it, jam flop, then if you don't just jam turn.  He bet out the flop after your pre-flop raise, then only called your raise.  The bets are so small the feel like weak ace blocker bets.  If he check calls, then bets out a reasonable amount when the jack hits I would be more worried, as that seems like a standard line for a jack.  This line looks like maybe a K with a gutter, or other pair plus draw hand.  JT and QJ are in his range, but I think he goes for the check raise all in on turn, or checks and calls a shove.  Shove turn here, but shove flop next time around.

yeah I just jam the flop I think.  With top pair top kicker, I am decently confident in my hand and I don't want to put myself to a difficult decision if the turn comes off something ugly.

This is a sick flop but not folding either so I'd rather get the money in now on the flop as your re-raise size is actually better for villain to get a cheap turn if he's on a draw then it is for you but he might fold certain gutshot or pair+gutshot draws depending on the player like me might think his QJ or mid pair like AJ is not worth it due to you taking the strong like forcing him to play for most of his stack. Put him to the decision and avoid him doing it to you is my motto.
