This is the 8th hand I've played with villain. He's running 38/13 so has been involved quite a bit in those 8 hands. Should I raise more preflop? What would be an ideal raise size? On the flop I bet less than half pot in the hope I can get him to spaz out with AQ/AJ and other hands thinking that I don't have anything. When he 3xs on the flop do you stack off here or flat and look to get it in on the turn? My intention was to flat the flop and check shove the turn – what do you think about that? And what do you do when he overpot jams the turn?

Thanks for the interesting hand.  I think that your reraise sizing is fine, if you are going to do it at all.  I usually flat here, because i don't like to build a big pot out of position, and I think it adds some deception to my hands strength.  I am interested for opinions on that aspect as well.  I think your bet sizing on the flop is fine.  I think that you are ahead the vast majority of the time, and I would probably just jam to his 3 bet on the flop.  Could he roll over A5s, a set of  8s or a flush draw here- certainly possible, but I think that you are winning most of the time.  Certainly, as played with the flat on the flop, he looks awfully strong on the turn.  A better player than me might fold, but I think I stack off or double up here.  You will certainly still have a reasonable stack if you fold, but if your read is that he is really agro, it goes in for sure.  marty

The three bet out of position is kinda smallish. I would go a full 3x of the opener. Then flop the bet would be more of 1/2 to 3/4 pot bet. I can't see what he has here other than a split most always. Don't know if I could get away unless I felt like I had an edge against this table or in the tourney itself. Probadly can't fold me just being me.

3bet should be larger playng OOP. when OOP and deep stacked i like for my raises to be from 3.5 – 4x. sometimes i'll flat to add variation in my play. but on to flop play, u flopped top pr with top kicker so i think bet sizing there is too small. bet for value with wt is likely the best hand. bet about 1975 – 2395.

i like calling here in this spot when villian reraises. as i dont think we get very much more action from hands that we beat by jamming his reraise. i think ur line and thought process is right on for the most part. bet sizing a bit flawed. when he overjams the turn its a insta call. i think in these spots on this board we're ahead more than not. we're chopping a fair share, losing a times but winning the most.

btw, i think ur line of check jamming turn is the right line as well. gl
