When I first reviewed this hand I thought that I played it correctly. However I was soon after watching the bigdog_microstakes_part3 video and now have doubts if my line was correct. There was a similar hand in that video (although the villian had a slighlty shallower stack I think) where bigdog jammed the flop saying that he couldn't cbet and fold so by doing this we take away the villains opportunity to make a play.
I only had 8 hands on the villains and he was running at 25/0.

Pre Flop: (t405) Hero is UTG+1 with K A
UTG calls t150, Hero raises to t450, 1 fold, MP1 calls t450, 5 folds, UTG calls t300
Flop: (t1755) 7 T 3 (3 players)
UTG checks, Hero bets t800, MP1 raises to t4720 all in, UTG folds, Hero folds
So should I have jammed the flop? Or maybe called his jam?
Thanks.

i think i would take a similar line to you and fold to the shove, depending on how long the levels are and when the blinds go up. in a good structure we still have still have 33bbs when we fold. possible bet smaller on flop say 550-625 to save a few chips, but still building a pot so if we get flatted and bink on turn we can get it in still.

with antes in play you can make your preflop raise size a little bit smaller, i think something like 375 is better here. this will mean the pot is only 1300 or so on the flop, and then you can bet 500 instead of 800.
in the end this will save you 375 chips, which can come in handy in the later stages

Thanks everyone. That helps a lot. I normally do raise less but in this case I got carried away because I had a premium. In hindsight I can see that I’m much better to see how I hit the flop before bloating the pot.
Edit: Just had another look at the bigdog video I referenced and it was a very different situation. They were only 7 handed and relatively short, the villain only had 12bb behind – far different for my situation. Thanks again for clarifying this all for me.

I like the pre size because of the UTG limper. 375 would be my standard open if I was first in, but with the limper and the whole table after we act I think that 450 is optimal, sometimes especially at fishy tournaments I might raise even more to 525 with a premium, because a lot of worse hand will call which is not bad or we will disencourage being flatted and playing oop.
With 2 people on that flop sometimes I will c/f others I will cbet but fold to a raise. Either option I think is ok by me. In general if I had the A or K I would lean towards cbetting, as it takes out a lot of combinations of flush draws.
fair point about the limper, i think a full 3x is actually fine here. the cbet could be a little smaller though
