Sup yall, I just subscribed here 2 days ago so this is my first post in the forums.  I have learned alot and really love the site.  I am in middle of this tourney atm so dont want to get to long with post.  Just need some advice on this hand.

My thinking as to why I called here is I figured theres no way hes shoving aces or kings here…this early hes gonna want more value.  Only hands I see him shoving here are AK,QQ,JJ maybe AQs or TT but I doubt it.  So I called knowing It would be flip and I would still have very healthy stack if I lost.  however, now that the hand is over..I think it was a bad call as it was so early and 1.4k to my stack isn't really substantial at this point.  What do yall think?

Again wondering what yall think about my play right here?  Is this to aggressive with this monster?  Villain had been calling and raising alot of hands and I had also played 2 pots recently very aggressive in the same bet sizing and manner so figured I had classic wake up with monster after a couple involved hands previously.

What yall think?

Phoenix

Also I had shown down a check raise, check raise turn/river while cbetting flop with a set of 10's about 7 hands before this so figured id play opposite what I had already shown down and be consistant with what I hadn't shown down.

Heres another one…Im kinda getting bumed out this is the 3rd monster I have gotten and just havn't gotten paid…so I must be doing something wrong?  I tried slow playing this one to continue to mix it up pluz there was 4 people in pot 2 of which have been very agressive.   What could I have done better in this spot?

In last hand, lead the flop and hope that QJ or 78 calls on a draw or that someone has a 10. If you just hope someone catches something on later streets I doubt they’ll go super nuts. Can’t remember the vid, or maybe it was in one of the podcasts but Wein said to not overthink spots. Just bet ’cause they either have a piece or they don’t. So maximize your value when they do have something by building the pot early instead of hoping to only extract a small bet on the turn or river.

As far as the early hands, I’m usually sizing closer to 1/2 pot so when you flopped trip K’s I’d go at least 400.

Thx m8 for replying and giving me your input.  I definitly should be betting for value on that last hand.   Just wanted to try something diff but it didn't work.   That tourney was very frustrating as I flopped 3 nuts and a few sets but didn't get paid off one time.  I played em str8 forward except these hands.  Just happens I suppose.
