I'm 3rd in chips at this point with the cl having 300K with around 17 left there's only 2 other good regs in the tourney and he's one of them. Do you ever make this call to bust this guy, soften the tourney and seemingly breeze to the ft ? I think you can eliminate JJ+ weighting him heavily to hands like 1010-99 with a small chance of him showing up with AQ. There's also the issue of players to act behind me. …..g/?6629351

Also if utg raised I don't even consider playing this fwiw.

Seems like a pretty striaght forward fold barring some crazy reads.  As an excercise, even if you assume veryone folds behind you, you can easily calcualte the range he needs to shove.  I will show this to you.

1 BB lip, 1 BB for Big blind, .5 Bb for small blind, 1 BB in antes(this is my standard estimate to make math easier), 20 BB shove.  Thats 23.5 BB and you have to call 20.5, 20.5/(23+20.5) = 47.5%.  Just messing around a little in stove here are soe ranges and your equity:

10% – 77+,A9s+,KTs+,QTs+,AJo+,KQo  You are 46.4% so still not enough equity.

11% – 77+,A9s+,KTs+,QTs+,ATo+,KQo You are 48%, So you do have a small edge on this range.  But I doubt many people ever are going to come clsoe to this range in this spot.

Wow, I took the time to think about the hand before posting and I was thinking it was a call.

Just found a leak then.

I think I made the call just b/c I wanted to knock this guy out faulty thinking for sure. It turned out it was a flip against 10 10 but very unnecessary.

One thing I forgot to mention was that although you do have a small edge against that 11% range, this is assuming everyone behind folds.  Which wont happen when they have QQ+, and the guy limping utg(unless he is a mega fish), should throw up some hazard lights for you.  He could easily be trapping.

@ Phoebus:  The reason this is such a tight range for us here is because we are calling cold.  AJs could feasibly be in our calling range here if we opened and got shvoed on(although probably still a fold), because we will be getting MUCH better odds.  If we min raise to 2 BBs here(ignore limper), there are 2.5 BBs from blinds and antes, 2 from his call and 18 from his shove over top.  thats a total of 24.5 BBs and we only have to call 18.  So we only need 18/(18+24.5) = or 42.4%.  Which is drastically different.  We are 42.436 against 8% or 88+,ATs+,KTs+,QJs,AJo+
