I was multi tableing at the time with no HUD. Reads are a bit skewed with all that I had going on. I figure I'm behind most times on this flop but I decided to lead out. Turn was non factor so I decide to double barrel. Correct play or not? I'm assuming weaker aces are calling as well as flush drws. Should I be making him pay to draw out on me? I have to admit that I hate barrelling flop and turn when I range some1 on FD cause most ppl at my stakes will die chasing them. I like to save as many chips as possible when they hit. Is this the wrong approach? Easy river fold here tho…. right?

I fold preflop but as played you line is fine or you could throw out a small blocking type river bet to see a cheap showdown.

+1 to Jdog's answer. I also fold pre there but seems like a good spot for a blocker bet/fold to shove.

You can bet something like 250-300 here instead of checking and calling a 60% or greater river bet by him if he bets.

flatting pre is fine.  I probably go check/call on flop and evaluate turn.

Are you check/folding a lot to a second barrel on the turn? If we check/call the flop we're probably faced with the same bet amount that we used on the turn.

Why would you guys fold AJ to a minraise with over 60bb's deep? Seems like an obvi flat pre..

Whats the point of leading out here? You will prolly fold out a lot of hands you beat that he would have cbet with and won't get a lot of value from worse hands.. Everything but check/calling here seems like a bad play to me. If he checks behind, you obviously bet any turn.

Lousy implied odds in my opinion.

What worse Ax hand opens? For that matter, what hand(s) will we get value from enough times for this to be worth it?

Some times we get in spots like this where we are potentially dominated. Other times we miss and fold to a c-bet. And then some times we will get one street of value while the chips still don't mean that much.

It's not like it's some severe leak to call… you just can't spew off when you run into AQ and AK and lose a lot of chips by check calling all streets.

I agree, I like folding AJo from the BB to a UTG min-raise. A lot of times especially in the micro's this sort of clowny open at this level reeks of a huge hand (AK, AA, KK, QQ) which means that I am with dominated or drawing to 3 outs, not a siutation I really want to get into. That being said once your flop barrel fails I hold up and see if I can get to a showdown with him for free (or very cheaply) so I can gain some insight into what they heck they are doing.

ya I'm flatting pre…..and check/calling flop almost every time then I'm check/re evaluating on the turn.  What are you doing if he raises your flop lead?
