I marked this hand for review in PokerTracker, but never actually reviewed it, so no reads although PokerTracker is saying SB is 20/9 over 93 and BB is 18/6 over 33 (3bet 6% 1/16). I'm always confused with AJo facing a 12-20BB shove as I'm pretty sure it's not doing particularly well against most opponent's range.

I fold here. If he shoves I probably re-shove to isolate.
Obv. you're not folding him out and I think his 3 bet is to induce action so I give him credit for a pretty strong hand here. His stats don't indicate he's a creative player so doubt it's a level on his part to make his hand look stronger than it really is.
If he shoves instead of just raising half his stack do you still call? I just can't see him doing this with AT or worse so it has to be a fold, right? There would be 23931 in the middle if he shoves and you'd need to call 14445, which means you need 1.6567:1 or 37.64%. Versus 22+,AJ+ we're 37.983% so it's just a call, but a very marginal one at that. I don't think he's ever shoving anything that we dominate here so it has to be a fold… I always have trouble opening AJ versus 12-20BB stacks. AQ I raise with the intention of calling, but I just find AJ such a difficult hand to play versus these stacks.

With your stack size I'd reshove ISO – I think you're flipping a lot against a jam and may also be ahead some times against a hand like A9s or ATs etc… I think those show up occasionally. KQ, too.
Even if you lose you still have 31 bb's and I really do not think the SB has much going on here.
If I don't think villan is doing this with worst I fold. I understand the idea behind “with so many chips in pot…”, but and a big butttt is this range is 77+ so you are only flipping vs. 2 hands and crushed vs. TT, JJ, QQ, KK, AA, AK, AQ, AJ, and chopping vs. AT. Even if you expand it down to 22+ I still think I'm folding.
If I close the action it's a much easier decision, but with the SB still in the hand and flatting a pretty high % of his stk I get out now.
