** Summary **
Hey,
V is a really bad player, they have been limping in almost every hand and have been raising it up quite often. I've not seen them make a raise this big before though. My plan was to 3-bet call , v then 4-bets small. No idea what to make of it , seems nuttish. I decided to flat (which i think is terrible) i should of 5-bet shoved.

If a random villain who has previously been limping, minraising or 3xing suddenly makes it 4.5x, it seems to me like his range is going to be a lot tighter and stronger, so 3betting with AJo is not going to be the appropriate response. The first time I see him do this I am likely to make some tight folds and hope to see a showdown and get a read on what he's raising bigger with, so I think AJo is a fold pre here.
It just doesn't seem feasible that he's raising 4.5x preflop with a range that AJo does particularly well against, and it's quite likely he's doing it with a range that has you absolutely crushed. Bearing in mind his preflop range, I pretty much think this hand is a fold at every decision point. In order for continuing with AJo in any way to be justifiable here, he has to have a wide preflop raising range in order for his 4betting range to be anywhere close to wide enough for us to put more chips in, and given that he's 4betting to roughly half of effective stacks, flatting isn't an option. Since he's never 4bet/folding, shoving isn't an option either. So, yeah, fold pre, fold to 4bet, fold flop. 🙂

Yeah I agree the ginger
v shows ATo anyhow lol , like i said they were really bad , that don't mean 3-bet/c is correct though as u said in OP , with these lack of reads folding is correct , unless of course we know that v has a wide opening range and a wide 4-betting range then that's different ball game.
cheers.
