im playing small buy in rebuy tourny on pokerstars blinds 60/120 very loose spewy player opens for 360 in middle position i have aj in big blind, i have 4500 chips he has 10,000, i saw him open k10o and call a 45bb jam the guy had ak and he hit ten, should i just be 3 bet shoving aj here as he opens so wide or is it too high variance getting 4500 pre with aj, i just feel it will be best hand vs this spewy player nearly always

You start the hand with 37.5bb effective.. I don’t like jamming over his open, I think it’s to spewy getting it in with AJ based on stack sizes. His 2x raise pre doesn’t scream anything other then standard opening ranges. So I think 3betting to like 750 is right here as I think folding is too nitty and calling is really bad. 3betting and folding to a 4 bet effective jam will still leave you with 30bbs plenty to make move with still… So hopefully he just calls the 3bet and you lead mostly EVERY flop and just take it down.. IMO

Agree, I think that if played, I am 3 betting or folding pre..never 3 bet ripping bc you are to deep for that and only getting called by hands that have you dominated.  You don't want to call bc now you are playing oop guessing the whole way.

Gotta adjust to your player. Normally 3b shoving AJ here is spewy, but with your reads it looks like the best play. Villain is loose, looking to gamble, and will call it off with plenty of worse hands. It's high variance, but probably the highest EV play which is fine in a low r/a. 3b/calling is another good option and so is flatting. If we flat, look to check raise pretty much any flop you get a piece of and just take him to value town. 3b/folding is the worst play of all the options.

Who can blame villian for Gambaling. Its a rebuy i have been known to take up to 85 bullets in these things  because i simply dont care people can just buy right back in if they lose their chips. If i was playing this hand in a rebuy i would just 3bet shove this hand and would be expecting to get called by a very wide range. I just shove or fold every hand in a rebuy till i build a massive stack or the rebuy period ends. Ofcourse i only do this at micro and low stakes where the money is insignifficant.
