I think I'm folding.  To me if you had a read or played w/ him/her a bunch ok if you 4bet, but I wouldn't want to go crazy w/ AJ out of pos.

Yep. Folding for sure. You are utg+1 and getting 3bet big by utg+2 he should know your range is tighter here and I would expect the cold caller to be like 77s+ AJs+ KQs minimum. If you flat and the ace flops, you could be in a whole world of trouble.

Thanks guys, in game I did call and luckily whiffed flop so check/folded but felt after reviewing that calling pre-flop was optimistic and you have all confirmed that. Noted for future reference.
