This is just a 45man sit-n-go and there 11 players left. Villian stats are 31/23 after 26 hands. We are nearing final table and I have a decent stack so I just decide to call the SB min raise. The raise is frustrating because people do it some times with monster hands and sometimes with nothing cuz it is blind vs. blind.
Do you guys 3bet pre or do you take my approach and play post flop in position?
Villian continued to min bet flop and turn so I decided to turn my hand into a bluff on the turn with 3 hearts on the board and villian min betting was a sign of weakness to me. River card is great for me and gives me some showdown value and it goes check check. How do you guys think I played it and would you play it differently?
P.S. for some reason the hand converter will not convert my fulltilt hand history text.

I am not a huge stats guys, but I know what they mean on this type of player.
I would never call his raise. It’s a reraise 100% of the time for me. The only questions is….how much?
With 20 bbs, I would make it like 1500. He is going to call; his numbers tell you so.
No problem. Make a standard 50 – 60 % continuation bet if you hit or not; re-evaluate after you see his reaction.
If he shoves the pre flop reraise; I think it’s still a call.
Should we just shove pre flop?
If I have anything less than say 16 bbs pre flop; I would shove pre flop. I think you could make a good case for shoving to his raise even with 20 bbs. Two good things could happen 1) he folds and doesn’t raise your blinds anymore. 2) he calls with a worse hand and you go to 40 bbs. Only 1 bad thing can happen; he calls your shove with a better hand. You cannot worry about this fact since you believe in the software you are using and it has told you to make an aggressive play. If this final possibility happens; you must MUST suck out like the truly great poker players do. 😉
I would call the pre flop only if you intend to go all the way with the hand no matter what(e.g. qq, kk, aa).
Given that his stats indicate he is an aggressive player, you should be way ahead of his range here, and I think that raising is the best play. After you call, I like the call on the flop as well. His tiny bet looks really weak to me, and raising here to take it down might be better. If he doesn't have a queen, I think he is folding to a raise most of the time. Check-check turn seems right. I think that you have the best hand on the river after he checks., and I would bet for value here, although you are probably not getting called. The straight and flush make the board pretty scary. If you raise pre and he shoves, you call 100%.
Jam-on-it! I think I'm jamming here 100%. First my shove will look like a resteal and will get looked up by worst. It also does some meta-gaming in the sense of slowing the SB down from stealing from you when it folds to him.
I also wouldn't think of a ~20bb stk as decent. You should never feel content and safe with ~20bb's…
I dont think of a 20bb stack as decent but in a 45 man with 11 players I was sitting 3 of 11. So in proportion to rest of the players I did have a decent stack and didn't think in this scenario that 20bb's was short by any means and worth shoving.
Villian ends up having Q rag so sucks for me…that is what he is calling my raise on turn and checking the river with. Thanks for the analysis guys.
