Local charity event $50 bi, 62 entries, pays 7. Structure is horrible…start w/ 50 bb, by third level you have 12bb if you never play a hand.

No reads on my opponent who recently arrived at my table, he has a huge stack and I have only see him play one hand where he showed down the nuts. We are down to 17 players.

Blinds are 2000/4000

Opponent (stack size ~100,000) UTG +1 Raises to 12000, all others fold to me.

Hero in BB with 20500 after posting the 4000 bb. Hand is AJo.

Pot is 18000

Can we ever fold AJ in this spot with ~ 5bb behind?

Ya I agree with RFB especially in a charity event where players probably aren't going to know when they are committed to calling with ATC so you have more FE then normal.

pretty close i think, but as the experts have already said, probably better to fold here and shove ATC from the small blind if it is folded to you
